For the treatment of Coccidiosis in fowls.
Easy administration via drinking water.
Sulphaqunoxaline 9.61% m/v
Use only as directed.
Flock medication:
a) Intermittent method
The most consistent and satisfactory results are to be obtained by employing the interrupted or intermittent method of dosage using 50 ml (4 tablespoonfuls) to each 13 litres of drinking water. This method is also known as the 3:2:3 schedule for treatment and is carried out as follows:
· 3 days on medicated water
· 2 days on plain water
· 3 days on medicated water
· The flock is then returned to plain drinking water
b) Continuous method:
Treatment may be given with medicated water, of the same dilution as above, continuously for four or five days.
PRECAUTIONS:
1. It is important to note that no other source of drinking water is available to birds undergoing treatment.
2. Do not exceed recommended dosage levels and period of treatment.
CAUTIONS:
Embazin brand of Sulphaquinoxaline sodium is presented as a 10% m/m solution. Suitably diluted Embazin is taken readily by all birds and provides a highly effective treatment for caecal Coccidiosis in fowls. Outbreaks of the disease are readily controlled, provided treatment is started as soon as symptoms are noted. The first sign of the disease are usually dejected appearance, desire for heat, lack of interest in feeding, ruffled feathers and bloodstained droppings. Such symptoms apply to other conditions however, and the only certain means of establishing the cause of death or ill-health in the flock is by laboratory examination of one or more birds.
WARNING:
1. Do not slaughter fowls for human consumption within 7 days of last treatment.
2. Eggs laid during treatment and for 3 days thereafter should not be used for human consumption.
3. The use of this remedy, or of any other Sulphonamide, may cause a temporary drop in egg production in laying hens.
4. Keep out of reach of children.
Store in a cool dry place below 25°C.
Keep the container tighly closed.
Use only as directed.
